Over Easy and Coffee like Tar

I was rudely woken on my first morning in NYC by the 4 jet engines of a 747 roaring over the hotel, shuddering and shaking the room and all it's contents. Well, maybe I should of booked a room a little further away from the airport!



However, I leaped out if bed and bound downstairs to the hotel cafe/restaurant knowing full well what is store for me. Before I had even sat down the familiar "How can help you today Sir" was ringing in my ears. Well there was only one thing she could do for me today.... Over easy eggs, crunchy bacon and coffee like Tar please!



It didn't disappoint. Runny eggs, fried potatoes, toast and insanely deep fried bacon was enough for me to start the day! Oh, and 3 refills of 'cawfee'!

A great way to start the day. Off to Port Authority now to get myself upstate.

New York State Food and Drink Journey

Less than one week from now I will be embarking on a tour of New York State, taking in the fabulous food and drink offerings.

With the fantastic Rieslings and Chardonnays available in the Finger Lakes wine region and the eclectic foods in NYC I'm preparing myself to be spoiled for choice.

A fresh start
